Larry Wayne Mayberry, 52, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 22, 1957, at Chicago, to Richard Carl and Etta L. Winemiller Mayberry. He and June Coomer were married Jan. 6, 2002, in Scott City. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, June Mayberry of Scott City; his mother, Etta Mayberry of Scott City; two sons, David and Chris Mayberry, both of Kelso; a stepson, Robert Coomer of Scott City; two daughters Rebecca Wells of Scott City, and April Oliver of Dexter, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Black of Scott City; four sisters, Laura Griffin and Linda Dinkens, both of Advance, Mo., Lydia Lemons and Lenae Schroeter, both of Scott City; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Rouse officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
Donations to the family will be used to help with funeral expenses.
