BENTON, Mo. -- Larry Wayne Hopper, 76, of Benton died Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Acapulco, Mexico. He was born Dec. 24, 1939, in Scott County, Missouri, to Willard "Bill" Joe and Mary Ada Beggs Hopper. He married Nancy Laree Dennis on April 15, 1961...

BENTON, Mo. -- Larry Wayne Hopper, 76, of Benton died Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Acapulco, Mexico.

He was born Dec. 24, 1939, in Scott County, Missouri, to Willard "Bill" Joe and Mary Ada Beggs Hopper. He married Nancy Laree Dennis on April 15, 1961.

Larry was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Lisa Renee (Darrell) Wheetley; a son, Jeffrey Dennis (Andrea) Hopper; a sister, Mary Beth McIntosh; four grandchildren, Nicole Wheetley Buck, Derick (Melissa) Wheetley, Logan (Rhandy) Myers and Sydney (Chris) Cochran; and seven great-grandchildren, Haylee, Jordan, Landon, Ashton, Rhaylon, Haven and Layton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vickie Showmaker; and a great-granddaughter, Madalyn Wheetley.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Old Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
