Larry Clark, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on May 28, 1950, in Arkansas to Richard and Carolyn Clark.

Larry attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he received his doctorate. He worked as a professor at Southeast Missouri University for more than 30 years.

Larry enjoyed volunteering at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. His hobbies included photography, listening to music and reading. He also loved hiking and being in nature. Larry loved to travel and enjoyed seeing as much of the country as he could.

Survivors include his daughters, Kristal Clark of Wadworth, Ohio, Wendy (Dave) Riha of Beaufort, Missouri, and Stine Maurer of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; brother, Richard Clark of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Carol Bernier of Chicago and Liz East; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
