Larry Gene Bollinger, 60, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 8, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Everett and Irene Smith Bollinger. He and Dorothy Hahs were married March 31, 1973.

Larry graduated from Patton High School in 1968. Following his graduation, he worked 25 years at Praxair, and was currently employed by SEMO Ready Mix. He was a member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church. Larry was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Loving survivors include his wife of 36 years; a daughter, Paula (Brad) Meyr of Jackson; two sisters, Idonna (Richard) Polen of Alton, Ill., Alta "Pete" (Loy) Shrum of Millersville; and three grandchildren, Tayla, Logan and Zachery Meyr of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School.
