LaDonna Phelps

LaDonna Jo Phelps, 56, of Jupiter, Fla., died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Jupiter Medical Center.

She was born June 25, 1948, in Cape Girar-deau, daughter of Walter Joseph and Arvazena "Bobbie" Roberts Meinz.

Phelps was formerly of Scott City and was a teacher with Scott City School District. She moved to Jupiter nine years ago. She was a 1970 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Survivors include a son, Blake Phelps of Jupiter; a daughter, Tandra Phelps of St. Louis; her mother of Scott City; three sisters, Terry Atkins of Bourbonnais, Ill., Tandy Wendel of Jackson, and Gail Myers of Keller, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Scott City, with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
