COBDEN, Ill. -- L. Mae Pearson. 78, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Cobden, died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Sept. 13, 1920, at Cobden, daughter of Leo and Fleta Cantwell Campbell.
She married Chester E. "Jack" Pearson Aug. 19, 1938. He died Aug. 31, 1995.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cobden.
She is survived by two sons, Dodd Pearson of Kansas City and Steven Pearson of Birmingham Ala.; a daughter, Lewellyn Gregory of Florissant; a sister, Mary Anna Kohler of Paducah, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Cobden, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.
