ORAN, Mo. -- Korinne Dannenmueller, daughter of James and Vicky Kieffer Dannenmueller of Oran, was born March 27, 2001, in Sikeston, Missouri, and passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at her home in Oran at the age of 19 years.

She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church. She loved going to the ocean and watching cruise ships. Her biggest joy was participating in the 2010 Make-A-Wish Disney Cruise on Halloween. She had her favorite things in life: the ocean, Disney friends and the beach with all the colorful lights. Korinne enjoyed Special Olympics and being crowned queen at the Night to Shine and Southeast Missouri Angels pageants. She also enjoyed Oran boys' and girls' basketball.

Totally disabled -- unable to walk, sit or speak, she enjoyed life, but was ornery as could be. Korinne was smart as a whip and never gave up on any of her many medical challenges. She could put you in your place really quick if she didn't want to do something, and melt your heart completely with her beautiful smile.

Her last great adventure was her graduation trip with Aiden's Great Adventure. She traveled 13 states with family, watched the 2019 Macy's parade where the balloons almost touched her head, visited the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial, many New York sites and the Liberty Bell. She made sure to make it back home for the OIT basketball tournament.

Besides her parents, survivors include sisters, Hailee Baker of Oran, Kayla (Brandon Meeker) Dannenmueller of Sikeston, Tracy Mitchell of Oran, Lori (John) Scheeter of Oran, Pamela Jolley of Morley, Missouri, Justina Movall of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Katie Orhuela of Colorado; brother, Jason (Shania) Dannenmueller of Bethpage, Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Wilma Kieffer of Malinta, Ohio; aunt, Gladys (Garry) Movall of Mount Pleasant; nephews, Langdon Scheeter, Aiden Scheeter, Blaine Jolley, Warren Jolley and Odin Cockrell; nieces, Chelsey Holmes, Celeste (Dylan Squires) Holmes, Kaitlyn Jolley, Rayven Holmes, Juliette Orihuela and Elena Dannenmueller; special friends, Malia LeGrand, Katie and Haley Webb and Sondra and Derek Luttrell; caregivers, Sandra, Chelsey and Valerie, and all of her wonderful medical crew; along with other relatives and many friends.
