Kireay K'Vion Spillers, 12, of Paducah, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born Nov. 22, 1993, in Carbondale, Ill., son of Thomas Spillers and Linda Hughes Senter.
Spillers was a sixth-grade honor student at Paducah Middle School, and was active in football, basketball, baseball and karate. He was a member of the gifted/talented program, band and Traveling All-Stars. He was a member of Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah and active at Rhema Word Breakthrough International Ministries in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his father of Cape Girardeau; mother and stepfather, Linda and Carlos Senter of Paducah; a brother, Lavalle Spillers of Sikeston, Mo.; four sisters, Nykeaia Hughes of Paducah, Sabrina Spillers of Cape Girardeau, Charish Senter and Jade Carmen of Bowling Green, Ky.; two stepbrothers, Tahjay Matthews and Cobret Joe of Cape Girardeau; grandmothers, Joella Hughes of Mounds, Ill., Hesther Spillers of Aurora, Ill.; paternal great-grandmother, Annie Spillers of Cairo, Ill.; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Louise Strayhorn of Pin Hook, Mo.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rhema Word Ministries in Cape Girardeau, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to service time at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Wade officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
