OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Kenny Masterson, 74, of Olive Branch, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1947, in Cairo, Illinois, to Harold and Nellie Foster Masterson. He married Sheryl Grace on March 2, 1970.
Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 1st Infantry Division. He served three years in Vietnam. He worked as a pipe fitter out of Local 360 for 30 years. Kenny had a passion for hunting. He ran Grace's Hunting Club for more than 30 years. He was a very loving dad and grandfather and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sheryl; daughter, Autumn (Darin) Pettit; grandchildren, Scout and Cooper; brother, Jesse Masterson; sisters, Thelma Harvell, Ida Britt, Sharon English and Jeanne Hoffman; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bruce Masterson.
Graveside services will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Olive Branch Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
Memorial donations may go to Olive Branch Cemetery and will be accepted at the graveside.
