Kenneth Ray "Tucker" Tucker, 66, of Jackson is now free as a bird. He passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 2, 1949, in Terre Haute, Indiana. He and Paula Hahs were married Jan. 18, 1979.

Tucker was a free-spirited guy and especially liked rock 'n' roll and outlaw-country music. He was a trucker, driving many years for Byron Lang Trucking in Jackson. He enjoyed working on engines and had a special flair for restoring old motorcycles and cars, especially Harley-Davidson cycles and Chevy vehicles. He challenged himself to restore them to like-new condition.

Loving survivors include his wife, Paula Tucker of Jackson; two daughters, Annie (Chris) Overy and Kady Tucker, both of Jackson; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Overy, Jacob Tucker and Stetson Overy; and a sister, Mary Basham of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

There will be no formal memorial service, but in keeping with Tucker's free-spirited nature, immediately after the visitation, his family invites friends to join in a memorial motorcycle ride from the funeral home to The Bayou at Pocahontas.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to his family. Checks may be made payable to Paula Tucker.

Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.mccombsfuneralhome.com.
