WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Kenneth G. Staggs, 62, of Perry County, Mo., died June 4, 2008, in West Memphis.

He was born July 16, 1945, son of Hartwell M. and Aileen O. (Phillips) Staggs. He and Sharon K. Holzum were married Oct. 11, 1969.

He was the owner and operator of Staggs Trucking. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army and was an active member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife of Perryville, Mo.; a daughter, Angela Monier of Discovery Bay, Calif.; two sons, Scott and Kevin Staggs of Perryville; a brother, Merlin Staggs of Warrenton, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville with a Catholic wake at 4 p.m. and a second wake at 7 p.m. at Perryville Elks Lodge. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating.
