PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Kenneth L. Riney, 79, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Perry County, Mo., son of Murphy and Marie Thompson Riney. He and Leona Anderson were married July 9, 1955.
Riney had been a maintenance supervisor with Valle School System in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 133.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Riney of Perryville; three sons, James (Mary) Riney of St. Louis, Leroy (Nancy) Riney of Kansas, Keith (Trish) Riney of Perryville; three daughters, Debra (Tom) McFarland of Glenallen, Mo., Norma (Darren) Jannin and Mary (Richard) Hampson of Perryville; a brother, Marvin "Cracker" Riney of Perryville; a sister, Verna Renicke of Perryville; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Melvin; and a grandson, Robert "Bob" Hampson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The American Legion service is at 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
