CAIRO, Ill. -- Kenneth Kepner, 91, of Cairo died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 4, 1915, in Cairo, son of Kelly and Flora Buchamef Kepner. He married Nina Williams.
Kepner was retired from Karcher Brothers Funeral Home and Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. He attended Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Kepner of Cairo, Vernon Kepner of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mound City National Cemetery, with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating.
