COBDEN, Ill. -- Kenneth Lee Chamness, 70, of Cobden died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Cobden, son of Ray and Elva A. Haley Chamness. He and Marietta Zupo were married in November 1954 in Berkeley, Calif. She died April 3, 1992.
Chamness was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survivors include three sons, Brian Chamness of Castle Rock, Colo., Jeffrey Chamness of Cobden, Kenneth Chamness of Berkeley; a daughter, Joette Truitt of El Cerrito, Calif.; a brother, Jim Chamness of Anna; three sisters, Helen Summers and Bertha Seske of Owensboro, Ky., and Dolores Witthoft of Cobden.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden today from 9 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo, Calif.
