Kenneth Ray Brant, 54, of Scott City died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1957, in Cape Girardeau to George Virgil "Smokey" and Ruby Joyce Kinder Brant. He and Vicki Ann Brawley were married June 4, 1977, in Cape Girardeau.
Kenny was a self-employed equipment operator. He was a member of Local 513 Operators Union in Cape Girardeau and of Father's Arms Fellowship Church in Scott City.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Brant of Scott City; his mother, Ruby Brant of Wappapello, Mo.; a daughter, Kenya Wilburn of Scott City; a brother, Rick Brant of Old Field, Mo.; two granddaughters, Alivia Jean Brant and Kaelyn Ray Wilburn.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Terry Brant; and a son-in-law, Steve Wilburn.
Alivia Jean and Kaelyn Ray were the sunshine of Paw Paw's life.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service today at Father's Arms Fellowship Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Ken Strong officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
