ADVANCE, Mo. -- Kenneth E. Bland, 77, of Advance died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Monett, Mo. He was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Advance, son of Roy and Gertie Norman Bland. Bland was a retired farmer and formerly owned a motel in the Advance area. Survivors include a son, Roy Bland of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Foster of Newport, Mich., Paula Launius of Monett; a sister, Geneva Caudle of Canton, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Kenneth E. Bland, 77, of Advance died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Monett, Mo.

He was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Advance, son of Roy and Gertie Norman Bland.

Bland was a retired farmer and formerly owned a motel in the Advance area.

Survivors include a son, Roy Bland of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Foster of Newport, Mich., Paula Launius of Monett; a sister, Geneva Caudle of Canton, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Rock Point Cemetery at Swinton, Mo. The Rev. Ken Britweg will officiate.
