KELSO, Mo. -- Kelly Lance Yates, 57, of Kelso died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Hardin County, Ill., to Wendell And Carla Cruse Yates. He and Debra Sue Stovall were married Sept. 30, 2006, at New Hamburg, Mo.
He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Mo., and a loader operator for AEP Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Yates of Kelso, a stepson, Billy Hoskins of Kelso; two stepdaughters, Shawna (Jeff) Schmitt of New Hamburg, and Debra (Todd) Phillips of Oran, Mo.; five stepgrandchildren, Allison, Emily, Gage, Kara Phillips, and Josh Schmitt, a brother, George Yates, a sister, Debbie Brown, both of Vienna, Ill., and his special puppy Fefe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith Yates.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
