ULLIN, Ill. -- Keith Honey, 52, of Ullin, formerly of Tamms, Ill., died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.
He was born Nov. 13, 1959, in Cairo, Ill., the son of James Lawrence and Loretta Dean Morris Honey.
He was a cook at Triple E and had been a residential painter for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ullin.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Andy) Essary of Anniston, Mo.; his mother, Dean Robison of Ullin; two grandchildren, Jordan and Drew Essary; one brother, J.L. Honey of St. Louis; one sister, Laura (David) Stringer of Ullin; aunt and uncle, Leslie and Cecelia Honey of Cairo; former wife, Kim Honey of Saginaw, Mich.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Philip Honey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
Services will follow visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in McCrite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCrite Cemetery or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
