Keith Hitt

Keith A. Hitt, 40, of Cottleville, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital West in Chesterfield, Mo.

He was born Nov. 5, 1966, in Cape Girardeau, son of Gene and Carolyn Copeland Hitt. He and Michele Sherwood were married June 30, 2001, in St. Louis.

Hitt worked several years in insurance consulting, most recently with Aon Consulting in Clayton, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Isabela Hitt of Cottleville; father and stepmother, Gene and Rita Hitt of St. Charles, Mo.; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Leland Potter of Florissant, Mo.; and grandmother, Ruby Copeland of Florissant.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home in St. Charles.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Jim Buerster officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Zion Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville, with the Rev. Ann Mowery officiating.
