EAST PRAIRIE -- K.D. Black, 69, of Pocahontas, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1994, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was born Dec. 12, 1924, at Matthews, son of Otis and Sarah Penrod Black.
Black was lead lineman 30 years with the Chevrolet Division of General Motors in St. Louis. He moved to Pocahontas in 1979. He was a member of VFW and American Legion there. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include five sisters, Dorothy Archer of Pocahontas, Ark., Nevada Goers of Farmington, Elfreda Moore, Marion Walker and Phyllis Lemons of East Prairie.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Jim Coker officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
