Kay Scharenborg

Kay K. Scharenborg, 64, of Jackson, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Perryville, Mo., daughter of Walter and Mildred Black Seibel. She and Bill Scharenborg were married June 1, 1963. He survives.

Scharenborg was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill, the former International Shoe Factory in Jackson, Motorcycle Stuff in Cape Girardeau and the Jackson Wal-Mart for nine years.

Survivors include a son, Chris Scharenborg; a daughter, Becky Scharenborg, both of Jackson; her father of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Dale Seibel of Atlanta; two sisters, Mary Lewis of South Carolina, Barbara Pierce of St. Louis; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.

Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
