Kathryn "Kate" Loos, 30, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 5, 1985, in Cape Girardeau to Kenneth and Joyce Gobel Loos.
Kathryn was a graduate of Jackson High school where she was involved in numerous sporting and school-related activities. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in nutrition, and returned to SEMO after graduating to attain the prerequisites needed for medical school. Kate attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include her father and mother, Kenneth and Joyce Loos of Jackson; her sister, Kelly (Rusty) Neumann of Springfield, Illinois; and her nephew, Kaden Neumann of Springfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Deacon Walt Biri will administer parish prayer at 7 p.m., followed by the rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. John Harth, Monsignor Edward Eftink, the Rev. Bobby Manso and the Rev. David Hulshof concelebrating and Deacon Walt Biri assisting. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Kathryn Loos Medical Memorial Scholarship.
