Kathleen H. Ostrenga, 86, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, to the late Herman and Catherine Verbeten Klister. Kathleen and Robert Ostrenga were married June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death.
She attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau and was a member of St. Mary of the Angels in Green Bay.
Survivors include her son, William "Bill" (Barbara) Ostrenga of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Rosemary Smith of Sussex, Wisconsin, Carol (Carl) Newhouse of Little Chute, Wisconsin, and Shirley Stier of Appleton, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ostrenga and Florence Denessen, both of Green Bay; brother-in-law, Henry Hendricks of Freedom, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Ostrenga and Rebecca (Anthony) White; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Will White, Robert and Greta Kate Ostrenga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Clifford "Jim" Klister; and sisters, Mary Jane Hendricks, Agnes Hendricks and Florence Van Schindel.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date in Green Bay.
