DEXTER, Mo. -- Kathleen Kiger, 80, of Dexter died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. She was born July 10, 1920, in Leachville, Ark., daughter of Frank and Clara Belle Slayton Reeves. She and Pete Kiger were married Oct. 7, 1940, at Wardell, Mo. He died July 22, 1998...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Kathleen Kiger, 80, of Dexter died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1920, in Leachville, Ark., daughter of Frank and Clara Belle Slayton Reeves. She and Pete Kiger were married Oct. 7, 1940, at Wardell, Mo. He died July 22, 1998.

Kiger moved to Dexter in 1956 from Broseley, Mo., and was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ramey of Dexter; a son, Robert Kiger of Dexter; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, five sisters, and three brothers.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Revs. Jimmy Kirby and Dale Holman will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery near Broseley.
