Kathleen Maxine Barringer Fisher Adams, 96 years, 11 months and 20 days old, passed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015. She was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Centralia, Illinois, to Earnest and Mary Barringer, and moved to Cape Girardeau when she was 4 years old...

Kathleen Maxine Barringer Fisher Adams, 96 years, 11 months and 20 days old, passed from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015.

She was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Centralia, Illinois, to Earnest and Mary Barringer, and moved to Cape Girardeau when she was 4 years old.

She called Cape and Jackson her home for over 85 years. For the past 11 years, she had lived in Houston and then Humble, Texas, with her son, David Fisher, and his wife, Susan.

Kathleen is survived by her son, David Fisher and wife, Susan of Humble; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Adams, and by her first husband, Elwood Fisher; as well as her parents, Earnest and Mary Barringer; her sister, Jewel Barringer Schwab and her husband Ted Schwab; and her eldest son, Jon Kent Fisher and his wife, Toni Marie Brown Fisher.

Visitation and funeral were Saturday at Rosewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 2602 S. Houston Ave. in Humble, Texas 77396, (281) 441-2171, rosewood.cc, with Michael Ross officiating.

Interment will be in her hometown of Cape Girardeau at Cape County Memorial Park. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 12.
