CAIRO, Ill. -- Katherine Elizabeth Murphy, 87, of Cairo, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1992, at Daystar Care Center.
She was born July 25, 1905, in McKenzie, Tenn., daughter of Lafayette and Allie Looney Mitchell.
Survivors include a niece, Sharon McGinness of Cairo, and a nephew, Warren "Buddy" Mitchell of Tamms.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate.
Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
There is no visitation.
