BELL CITY, Mo. -- Karen Hogg, 70, of Bell City passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at the family home. She was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Venice, California, to James and Norma Rhodes Yates. She married Clyde M. Hogg on July 12, 1969. He preceded her in death April 29, 2004...

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Karen Hogg, 70, of Bell City passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, at the family home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Venice, California, to James and Norma Rhodes Yates. She married Clyde M. Hogg on July 12, 1969. He preceded her in death April 29, 2004.

Karen was a CNA at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, prior to becoming disabled. She was a member of a cake decorating club several years.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry Yates of Bloomfield, Missouri, David Roach of Painton, Missouri, Jim Hogg of Cape Girardeau and Michael Hogg of Bell City; two brothers, Steve and Dan Yates; a sister, Joyce Rogers; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Perkins Baptist Church in Perkins, Missouri, with the Rev. Gary Burns officiating.
