Karen Lynn Eaker-Bauer, 65, of Jackson passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, due to an auto accident.
She was born March 5, 1959, in Norfolk, Virginia, daughter of Naamon and Dorothy Head Eaker. She and Keith H. Bauer were married March 19, 2000. He passed away Sept. 20, 2007.
Karen enjoyed crocheting and fishing.
Loving survivors include her son, Justin Eaker of Jackson; father, Naamon Eaker of Cape Girardeau; sister, Kimi (Brad) Moore of Cape Girardeau; nieces, Carissa (Nathan) Bragg of Davidson, North Carolina, and Dr. Jerica Moore of Kansas City; three stepdaughters, Kristen, Kim and Jackie; one stepson, David Bauer; and several stepgrandchildren and many special friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Bauer; mother, Dorothy Eaker; aunts, uncles and a grandson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests contributions be made to the donor’s choice of church or charity.
McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
