Junior Lee Hickam, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at his home.

He was born Sept. 19, 1928, at Hahn, Mo., son of James I. and Isabel Eaker Hickam.

He was a car salesman for 40 years. He attended Cape Girardeau Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He previously was married to Ann Kasten. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Danny Hickam of Bloomsdale, Mo.; two daughters, Beverly Hickam of Cape Girardeau and Nancy Karg of Gorham, Ill., and two sisters, Helen Price of Somerville, Ala., and Jewel Lillie of Indio, Calif.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-7:30 p.m. Monday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with military rites.
