June Sanders

June E. Sanders , 95, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Festus, Missouri.

She was born July 25, 1927 in Leemon, Missouri, to Ogle Cotner and Maggie Sides.

She and Garnett Sanders were married March 18, 1944, in Scott City. He preceded her in death March 18, 2002.

She was a homemaker and baker. She helped cook meals at her church. June enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Festus.

Survivors include sons, William (Lana) Sanders of Troy, Missouri, and Wayne (Bonita) Sanders of Sparta, Wisconsin; daughter, Marilyn (Bruce) Johnson of De Soto; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carey Jones officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to charity of choice.
