June Aleta Moore, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Dec. 24, 1914, at Kime, Mo., daughter of Matthew Forrest and Dora Bell Berry Rhodes. She and E.N. "Ned" Moore were married Sept. 25, 1943, at Crump, Mo. He died Feb. 29, 2000.
Moore had been a waitress at Wimpy's Drive-In and at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and Eastern Star Chapter 174 at Whitewater, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Freda and Marvin Ackman of Florissant, Mo., Mary Bell and Bob Moore of Scott City, Mo.; two grandsons, Ken Ackman of Florissant, Matt Moore of Scott City; two granddaughters, Karen Heggs of Florissant, Krystal Amick of Scott City; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
