June Landgraf

Alice June "Nunie" Landgraf, 83, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born June 12, 1929, in Pocahontas, to William and Esther Fuehler Reisenbichler. She was raised in Pocahontas and was a 1947 graduate of Jackson High School. She and Robert Landgraf Sr. were married July 18, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.

Until only three weeks ago, June kept books for their construction company, Landgraf Construction, which is now operated by their son, Robert Jr. In later years, she enjoyed crafting, especially making sock monkeys and painting the wood toys that Robert made.

June was baptized, confirmed and married at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, where she and Bob remain members. She was a member of the Adult Club, Ladies Aid and formerly taught Sunday school. She also was a member of the former Wonder Workers Homemakers Club.

Loving survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Sr.; a son, Robert (Jane) Landgraf Jr.; a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Landgraf, all of Jackson; four grandchildren, Robert (Mary) Landgraf III, Nicole Landgraf, Elijah (Amanda) Landgraf, Amanda Landgraf, all of Jackson; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriet (Sam) Drusch of Jackson; a brother, Earl "Corky" (Margie) Reisenbichler of Pocahontas; two sisters-in-law, Helen Reisenbichler and Betty Landgraf of Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Carolinae Emilie Landgraf; a brother, Clinton Reisenbichler; a sister, Earline Ascenzo; and a brother-in-law, Harold Landgraf.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9:30 a.m. to time of service Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Virgil Kelm officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
