On June 5, 1949, Everett and Allie Brown Frick were blessed with the birth of their youngest child, Katherine June. Little did they know the joy and life lessons this earthly angel would bring to their family's lives.
On Monday, March 19, 2007, the Lord accepted her as a heavenly angel at the age of 57.
June was born in Anna, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Wilburn and Sidney Nathan Frick; a sister, Patricia Ann Marsh; four brothers-in-law, and a nephew.
After her parents' death, June was able to live in her own home under the diligent and devoted care of her family. Until recently, as her health declined, she was cared for at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
June touched the lives of everyone she ever met. She loved unconditionally and expected everyone to love that way. Her smile, graciousness, sense of humor and tenaciousness touched people's hearts. She gave freely to others and expected little in return. Life's simple pleasures made her happy.
June is survived by five sisters, Betty Jean Dickerson and Helen Fern Dexter of Jonesboro, Ill., Bernice Kaupas, Jo Ann Sanders, Carol Sue Dillow and husband Kenneth of Anna; and a sister-in-law, Carol Frick of Anna.
She will be missed as a special aunt and great-aunt by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
