PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Julian W. Pannier, 72, of Perryville died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Perryville, son of Julian Joseph and Edith Otto Pannier. Pannier was a retired Perryville police officer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133 Honor Guard, and a volunteer with Perry County Memorial Hospital and Perry County Community Center...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Julian W. Pannier, 72, of Perryville died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Perryville, son of Julian Joseph and Edith Otto Pannier.

Pannier was a retired Perryville police officer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133 Honor Guard, and a volunteer with Perry County Memorial Hospital and Perry County Community Center.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Warr.

He is survived by a sister, Lorena Wibbenmeyer of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, followed by American Legion wake at 7:15. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Assumption at St. Mary's of the Barrens. The Rev. Robert Brockland will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 133.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
