WYATT -- Julia Padgett, 98, died Tuesday, May 19, 1992, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born July 9, 1893, at Mt. Carmel, Ill., daughter of George and Laura Belle Wilcox. She married Anthony Padgett, who preceded her in death.

Padgett was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Padgett of Pleasant Plains, Ark., Allen Padgett of Mayfield, Ky., James Padgett of Wyatt; two daughters, Ruth Ward of Sun City, Ariz., Juanita Cherry of Charleston; a sister, Ruth Williams of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. today.
