DEXTER -- Funeral service for Julia Ann Fletcher of Dexter will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Wayne Dismuke will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.
Fletcher, 89, died Friday, Dec. 13, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 23, 1906, at Kyles, daughter of Joshua and Martha Parkinson White. She and Lester C. Fletcher were married Dec. 7, 1940, in Napoleon, Ohio. He died June 21, 1972.
Fletcher lived in Stoddard County most of her life, with the exception of 27 years in Michigan where she worked at Fischer Body and later was a licensed practical nurse at Pontiac General Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dexter.
Survivors include three nieces, Berniece Gaines of Dexter, Beatrice DeLay and Joanne Jarrell of Bloomfield; and a nephew, Dennis Fletcher of Bloomfield.
