Judy Ryan

Hisako O. "Judy" Ryan, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Yokohama, Japan, to Yoshio and Koto Suzuki Oishi. She and Sam Ryan were married Nov. 5, 1957, in Japan. He passed away Sept. 23, 1987.

Judy came to the United States in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen May 10, 1966. She worked in food services at Southeast Missouri State University more than 20 years. She was a member of Cape Do-Bee Extension Club more than 20 years.

Survivors include sisters, nieces and nephews in Japan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
