Judith "Judy" Ann Ainsworth, 79, of Cape Girardeau was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 19, 1937, in Cape Girardeau to Richard and Mary Louise Webb Thompson. She and James Charles "Jim" Ainsworth were married Dec. 10, 1960, at Cape Girardeau.
She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior on Dec. 18, 1979.
Judy retired from Ralph Edwards Sportswear in Cape Girardeau and also from the Cape Girardeau County Collectors Office. She volunteered at Southeast Hospital for approximately 10 years.
Judy enjoyed making crafts, sewing and feeding her many hummingbirds.
Prior to declining health, she enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing with her loving husband.
She was a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Ainsworth of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Jerry Keith (Charlotte) Ainsworth of Cape Girardeau and Alan Charles (Shareen) Ainsworth of Farmington, Missouri; two daughters, Sheri Lynn Luttrull (fiance Johnny James) of Jackson and Tina Louise (Eddie) Durham of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Terri Lynn (Ralph) Snider of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice or Southeast Home Health.
