JONESBORO, Ill. -- Juanita Manus, 82, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carbondale, Ill. She was born July 17, 1921, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Luther and Enid Zimmerman Rhodes. She and Lester Manus were married Nov. 12, 1944, in Osceola, Ark. He died March 12, 1996...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Juanita Manus, 82, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carbondale, Ill.

She was born July 17, 1921, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Luther and Enid Zimmerman Rhodes. She and Lester Manus were married Nov. 12, 1944, in Osceola, Ark. He died March 12, 1996.

Manus worked many years at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna, Ill.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford Manus of Anna, Darrell Manus of Jonesboro; a daughter, Linda Egner of Carbondale; two sisters, Jewell Gardner of Casper, Wyo., Ruth Phillips of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
