EAST PRAIRIE -- Juanita Phillips Hoss, 81, of East Prairie died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born June 20, 1917, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of James Thomas and Pearl Galloway Bright. She married Virgil Hoss, who preceded her in death.

Hoss lived most of her life in Mississippi County, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a sister, Irene Dudley of Chattanooga, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Fred Girdwood officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
