Juanita L. Copeland, 65, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at her home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to Jesse E. and Minnie M. Deimund Williams. She and Danny Copeland were married June 5, 1976, in Jackson. They had been married 47 years when Danny passed away.
Juanita worked more than 15 years in the cafeteria at Jackson Middle School, retiring as the cafeteria manager. She was previously employed for more than 20 years at Blair Industries in Scott City.
Juanita had a special affection for cats and dearly loved her two feline companions, B.G. and Sissy.
Loving survivors include a son, Bryan (Tara) Copeland of Texas; grandson, Tyler (Erika) Copeland of Texas; two siblings, Cindy (Gary) Dudley of Jackson and Jesse (Pat) Williams of Cape Girardeau; and a sister-in-law, Donna Cook of Jefferson City.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests Southeast Missouri Pets or Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary.
There will be no visitation or ceremony.
Juanita’s final arrangements were entrusted to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
