MILLERSVILLE -- J.R. Johnson, 73, of Millersville died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at his home. He was born Oct. 21, 1926, at Sedgewickville, son of Charles R. and Grace Statler Johnson. MILLERSVILLE -- J.R. Johnson, 73, of Millersville died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at his home.

He was born Oct. 21, 1926, at Sedgewickville, son of Charles R. and Grace Statler Johnson. He and Mary Dunn were married Jan. 18, 1959, in Marble Hill.

Johnson farmed in the Sedgewickville and Millersville areas. He was a member of Shawnee Church of Christ in Jackson.

He served in the U.S. Navy with the Pacific fleet during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. John Johnson of Hollidaysburg, Pa., James Johnson of Millersville; his mother of Jackson; a sister, Betty Job of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Paul Sain officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sedgewickville.
