Teddy Joyce Ross, 72, of Jackson passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 25, 1938, in Cincinnati, daughter of Clarence and Martha Weaver Hughes. She and James Ross were married July 4, 1961. Joyce served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged March 5, 1959...

Teddy Joyce Ross, 72, of Jackson passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 25, 1938, in Cincinnati, daughter of Clarence and Martha Weaver Hughes. She and James Ross were married July 4, 1961.

Joyce served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged March 5, 1959.

She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Marble Hill, Mo., and the church's board of directors. She was a former Cub Scouts leader and a member of American Business Women's Association. She was co-owner of the former "The Way" Christian Book Store in Jackson 18 years.

Loving survivors include her husband of 49 years; four sons, Mike (Rhonda) Ross of Jackson, Randy (Penny) Ross and Tony (Cheryle) Ross of Cape Girardeau, Darren (Beverly) Ross of Stevensville, Mich.; two brothers, Richard (Dora) Partridge of Graham, Wash., Chris Partridge of Jackson; three sisters, Betty Partridge of Cape Girardeau, Sharon (Bob) Savidge of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Nancy (Mike) Woods of Jackson.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Rhiannon (Ryan) Davie, Samantha (Bruce) Savat, Kia Ross, Sierra Ross, Joseph Lambert, Tanya Lambert, Nikki Ross, Robbie Ross, Blake Ross, Nathan Ross, Zachary Ross, Kayla Scheurer, Megan Scheurer; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Michael Sowers officiating. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.

Memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Building Fund.
