Joyce Ann Proctor, 48, of Friedheim passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 24, 1962, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Wilson C. and Rosalie Kelley Fornkohl. She and Keith Proctor were married April 4, 1987.

Joyce was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. She operated a day care in her home 17 years, and was currently working at Missy's Country Kettle in Biehle, Mo.

She did volunteer work for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by organizing the annual trail ride for horseback riders, the St. Jude Trail of Hope.

Loving survivors include her husband of 23 years, Keith; a stepson, Dusty Proctor (fiancee Amanda Bowen) of Millersville; a daughter, Shelby Proctor of Friedheim; two sisters, Susan (Tom) Griffaw and Linda Hampton of Cape Girardeau; mother-in-law, Doris Proctor of Millersville; four nieces; two nephews; a great-niece; and three great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Tommy Griffaw.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Interment will be in Lessley Cemetery near Gravel Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Lessley Cemetery Fund.
