Joyce Monahan

Joyce E. Monahan passed away Wednesday, Nov.18, 2020, in the loving care of staff at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was the daughter of the late Ray and Mabel Johnson.

Joyce loved to be outside gardening and walking. She loved her dogs, Marie and Peanut.

She was a born-again Christian and loved to attend Victory Outreach Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Monahan; daughter, Joyce Harris; brother, Allen Johnson; and sister, Isabell Maglone.

She is survived by a sister, Ivern Crig; two daughters, Karen Adams of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Dorothy (Randall) Schoen of Dunbar, Wisconsin. Joyce is also survived by a beloved sister- and brother-in-law, Marvalee and Jimmie Monahan of Thebes, Illinois. She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, with Pastor Jerry Respondek officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
