JOSIE SITZ

DEXTER -- Josie Sitz, 87, of Dexter, died Wednesday, June 28, 1995, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center.

She was born April 2, 1908, at Leora, daughter of Shirl and Roxie Christian Wilson. She and Archie Sitz were married Dec. 27, 1926, at Bloomfield. He died June 9, 1977.

Sitz moved to Dexter in 1970 from Leora. She was a member of Leora Missionary Baptist Church, but had attended Dexter Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Eugene Sitz of Kennett; a brother, Lee Wilson of Dexter; a sister, Lovie Strauser of Dexter; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Heitman officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
