Joshua Adams, age 31, of Youngtown, Ariz., died Friday, May 18, 2012, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 3, 1980, in Aurora, Colo., to Jerry and Barbara Bright Adams.
Joshua graduated from Peoria High School in Peoria, Ariz., and from Glendale Community College with an associate's degree in business. He loved to water and snow ski. He was very outgoing and artistic. He enjoyed both art and music. He worked in sales for ADT Security and had worked construction and as a loan officer.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara Bright and Jerry Adams of Youngtown; two sisters, Crystal D. Curle (Daniel) of Spring, Texas, Sarah E. Oddo of Youngtown; paternal grandfather, Donald C. Adams of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandmother, Audrey Bright of Crowder, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Gary Adams of Lawndale, Calif., Cindy Rainwater of Cape Girardeau, Donna Whittaker (James) of Maumelle, Ariz., Danny Adams of Fenton, Mo., Kenny Bright (Peggy), Peggy Walls and Debbie Juden (Drew), all of Sikeston, Mo.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ellen Adams; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Bright; and a cousin, Gary Adams Jr.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Roop and Daniel Curle officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset expenses or to Gideons International, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
