ADVANCE, Mo. -- Josephine Henson, 80, of Advance died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1922, in Louisville, Ill., daughter of Oliver and Leah Rogers Hayes. She and Harley Henson were married June 13, 1942, in Jackson. He died Dec. 30, 1992.
The family owned and operated the former Henson Grocery Store from 1956 to 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Harlena Francis of Advance; a son, Gary Henson of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Zola Caldwell of St. Louis; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from noon until service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
