SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Josephine Bernice Dunger, 78, of Scott City died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at her home. She was born Feb. 25, 1922, at St. Louis, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth Zoeller Barbareck. She married Albert Dunger on Nov. 23, 1944, at Scott City. He died Sept. 13, 1998...

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Josephine Bernice Dunger, 78, of Scott City died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at her home.

She was born Feb. 25, 1922, at St. Louis, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth Zoeller Barbareck. She married Albert Dunger on Nov. 23, 1944, at Scott City. He died Sept. 13, 1998.

She was a homemaker and a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6407 and the Ladies Aid of the church.

Survivors include three sons, James Dunger of Seffner, Fla., Garry Dunger of Osborne, Mo., and Jerry Dunger of White Hall, Ark.; two daughters, Ruth Bowen of Fort Worth, Texas, and Sally Koester of Festus, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City and beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Azinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
