JOSEPH T. JOHNSON

CHARLESTON -- Joseph Thomas Johnson, 39, of Crystal City, died Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital there. He was formerly of Charleston.

Johnson was born March 17, 1952, in Mississippi County, son of Tom and Clara Hale Johnson. He and Mary Vaughn were married Nov. 21, 1971.

He was employed with Local 36 at Lyons Sheet Metal Co. in Crystal City. He was a member of Eagles Lodge and American Legion at Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph Johnson Jr. of the home; a daughter, Heather Johnson of the home; three brothers, Ray Johnson of Painton, Robert Johnson of Sikeston, J.W. Johnson of Kankakee, Ill.; four sisters, Evelyn Miller of Diehlstadt, Jeanette Smotherman of East Prairie, Wilma Burks of Foristell, and Barbara Figlioli of Crystal City.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Wayne Page will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near here.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today.
